Everything that you would want to buy for your dog, cat, fish, reptile or bird could be found at the Super Pet Expo in Edison. The expo which is in its 14th year, took place this weekend – what a great time for pet lovers and animals alike. It was a big play ground for dogs and cats who arrived leashed and ready to meet other four legged friends. The premier shopping event for pet owners had many different organizations and companies that were promoting their goods, causes and services.
One of the highlights at the expo was meeting celebrity dog groomer Jorge Bendersky and his adorable Pomeranian Tito. He was on hand promoting his new book DIY Dog Grooming, which we can’t wait to get a copy of so that we can share more tips on how to get your dog ready for the next pet photo contest.
There were a number of different animal rescues and shelters bringing awareness to the public on the importance of making sure that every animal gets a fair chance at living a normal life. Many of the dog rescue’s were specific to breeds such as the Garden State German Shepherd Rescue, Cane Corso Rescue, Mid-Atlantic Great Dane Rescue League and the Beagle Rescue League. Tuesday and Lisa Cat Rescue had many cats on site and A helping Wing Parrot Rescue had a number of beautiful exotic birds on display.
If you were unable to attend the show, the good news is they will be having another one in Chantilly Virginia March 21-23, 2014.
